I’ve been looking for a way to replicate the multi window feature from Samsung’s touchwiz. After searching the vast internet I stumbled across a way to do it. Here is what you need to do.
First you will need to make sure you are rooted. There are plenty of guilds out there, a good place to look is XDA
After you have sorted that out you many proceed to downloading xposed framework for android HERE
After it’s downloaded you will need to install it. Once installed open up the app and tap framework.
Then install, it will as you to reboot but we will white just a minute.
Next up you will need to install the framework we need which is “XHaloFloatingWindow” so go back to the main menu in xposed by hitting the back button then tap download
Once in downloads hit the search bar and type in “xhalo”
Tap the XHaloFloatingWindow then download and install
Next got back to main menu again then hit modules. Enable the module by hitting the tick box. Now its time for a reboot
After your reboot you will need to tweek the setting of XHaloFloatingWindows app. So open it up then go into “Movable & resizeable” menu
Switch the on button then go into the resizing setting
Switch on the snap in windows
Here a few more settings you might want to adjust. In popup window setting change them to these
In popup size copy these setting
Most important you will need to switch app pausing off so both apps will run at the same time
After you have finished setting up XHaloFloatingWindow app you need to download the slide launcher from the app store HERE. If you have cyogenmod ROM on your device there is a cool option where you an put shortcuts on the swipe up menu where google now is normally found. Go into settings – system – quick launcher shortcuts
Now all you need to do is lauch the apps from the slide launcher when ever you need to multi window
This is why I want multi window so when there is a live blog going on I can read that and twitter at the same time
